Poker robots, poker collusion and the combination of the two.

Yes I have played at True poker although it has been a couple of years now. 

 

I too fall victim to the dreaded river seemingly too often when I play anywhere online:  I feel this is especially true of party poker and what I have come to conclusion is that

1. we see many more hands online than real life; therefore we have the luxury (those that are smart to take advantage anyway) of only playing the best of best hands preflop;  such as AA,  AK,  KK, ... possibly on short tables or tight games the  AQ,  QQ,  and perhaps the occasional suited AJ,  anything less is just not acceptable.  Now with that in mind;  I was watching one of those poker shows on tv the other day and somebody went all in holding 9,10 suited and were called by someone holding AK suited.  The odds were for AK suited to win 61% of the time. Now that's not the biggest tip of the scale one has ever hoped for is it?  So what I'm saying is that even if you have AA that your chances of winning all the way to the river are going to have room enough for failure that you ARE going to see more losses than what I'm certain any optimistic poker player is expecting to see.  I know that's true for me anyway :).

2. we play a hell of a lot of idiots when one plays for stakes that aren't especially big.  And although I don't know the stakes you play:  I can guess that it is unlikely you play at stakes high enough to eliminate the idiots:  but you could answer that better than I - but keep in mind that when playing online: the luxury of not having to be embarrassed "real life" is often temptation enough to turn the head of some spoiled rich kid: so even if you're playing at high stakes I think you still are going to run into a fair share of bad beats brought on by stupid play due to the factors I just mentioned.

3. Last:  I turn your attention once again to the games you see played on tv.  This time I point to the world poker series;  or tournaments;  rather than the celebrity version tournaments.  How often do you see the big names in poker sitting at the final table?  Its seldom often.  I don't even remember the last time I saw the same face sitting at the final table in the same year.  So what I'm saying is that even these big name pros fall victim (often) to the river:  or bad luck;  however you care to say it. 

With that in mind its really a wonder how we even manage to hang around as long as we do without having to redeposit.  Realistically speaking that is:  because I imagine we both fall into the category of "wins enough they don't have to constantly deposit money;  but at this time should not quit their day job".  That sound about right?

 

So to summarize I cannot say for absolute certain whether True poker is really True or not:  but I do know that I have not heard any rumors or scuttle butt about their card room and I have been intimately involved with online gaming for 5 years now and I constantly keep updated on just that sort of thing.  ... I have to in order to be able to run the guarantee that i run.  that said;  their affiliate program leaves a lot to be desired which is why i no longer list them on my poker sites and in fact I only list very few poker rooms due to the fact that I run a guarantee and in the case of poker;  there is just too little profit involved for me to ever take many big risks in listing poker rooms. So in other words the only places I would list are those I know will pay you when you go to cash in:  but I don't guarantee whether the games are truly random in their results simply because I cannot have a way to constantly monitor the card rooms.  That said I do however keep my ear to the ground and am very quick to yank any place I deem a risk.  my poker sites are
